New Systems to Strengthen Critical Funding Processes and Automate Study Proposal Review and Decision Making
BEAVERTON, OR, July 14, 2009 – Click Commerce announced today that the University of Chicago is the latest research institution that will use Click Commerce’s eResearch Portal software to fully automate grants funding proposal creation and submissions, post-award grants management and Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes.
In the initial phase, the institution will target submission of grants applications to Grants.gov. Using Click Commerce’s GrantsXpress(SM) Deployment Process, the University will put a centralized eSubmissions system into use, enabling researchers to create, route, review and submit grant applications for federal funding directly to Grants.gov. A second phase will enable the University to integrate IRB workflow processes to grants system processes. A third phase will allow Chicago to expand with online budgeting, non-federal grants management, and post-award renewals and amendments. Click Commerce will also provide a broad set of tools, best practices, and training to ensure the University’s ability to configure the system to its research environment.
The University of Chicago and many other leading research organizations use Click Commerce’s tools, software and services to automate a wide range of administrative processes, including IRB, IACUC, COI, Grants, and Clinical Trials Participant Tracking and Billing, among others.
